It is that time of year again! Time to break out the crockpot and get ready for back to school, football and cooler weather. I love my crockpot/ instapot and its perfect for all things warm and cozy. One of my family’s favorites is crockpot chicken and gravy.
This is one meal my kids will ask for seconds. Which is a huge thing because it’s a fight most nights to finish their plate. This recipe is super easy just combine and set it and forget it.
here is what you need:
-1 lb Chicken breasts, boneless skinless
-2 packets Chicken gravy mix
-1 Garlic powder
-1 10.5 ounce can Cream of chicken soup (99% fat free)
-1/2 cup Sour cream (I use light to save on fat and calories)
-2 cups Water
Directions: Season chicken on both sides. Don’t use too much salt because the gravy packet and can soup already has enough.
In your slow cooker, whisk together the gravy packets, cream of chicken soup, and water. I just whisk until it is mostly smooth.
Add your chicken.
Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
When chicken is done be sure to shred and serve over rice, mashed potatoes, cauliflower rice which ever you and your family prefer. Enjoy!
