Creating apple stamps with paint is a fun and creative activity to do with the kids. Here’s how you do it:
1. Cut an apple in half horizontally, so you have two halves with the stem in the center.2. Prepare your paint in a shallow dish with your desired colors of paint. We were making pumpkins so we mixed yellow and red to make orange. You can use acrylic paint, tempera paint, or even washable kids’ paint.3. Dip the cut side of the apple into the paint, making sure the surface is evenly coated but not too drippy.4. Press the painted side of the apple onto your desired surface, such as paper, fabric, or a canvas. Apply gentle pressure and hold it in place for a few seconds to ensure a clean stamp.5. Lift the apple off the surface, and you should see an apple-shaped or in our case a pumpkin shaped imprint left behind.6. Clean the apple stamp between colors by rinsing it under water or wiping it with a damp cloth. Pat it dry before dipping it into a new color.7. Continue stamping with different colors and patterns to create your desired design.Remember to protect your work area and wear old clothes or apron to avoid any accidental paint splatters. Have fun exploring your creativity with apple stamps! *You can also use potatoes. My daughter made some round pumpkins using potato stamps
