Hi friends!! I’m back with a money saving hack for all parents!! I’m sure most of you know how ridiculous the prices of everything is now a days with baby food/ yogurt pouches being between 1.50 – 4.00 dollars a pouch!! Which to me is just crazy! So if I wanted to feed my son one premade pouch a day it would around 45.00 to 120.00 a month!
Not to mention a lot of them have added sugars or a high amount of sodium. And while there are some good brands out there not everyone can afford it. Funny how “healthy food” cost more then highly processed garbage right?
So, as a stay at home mom of four I decided you know what I’m tired of spending an arm and a leg for something I can do for half the price. So, I went on Amazon and found some cute little reusable pouches and made my own yogurt pouch!
Now, I can control what I put into my kids yogurt. These are great for any fruit or veggie purée as well!
Here’s how I make my kids:
-I buy plain unsweetened yogurt
(non fat for the older kids and whole fat for my son who is one.) -I add sweetener of choice usually honey, fruit purée or stevia.
-Add the mixture to the little pouch. You must be sure not to overfill these or it will be a mess. The pouches linked below have a max line.
– Then place them in the fridge and that’s it. Super easy and very affordable. I like to make them in batches to have for the week.
These are perfect for toddlers and even older kids. they are lunchbox friendly and my kids love the cute designs.
